No one quite knows when the Crimson Court came into being, suffice it to say that the court has always existed in some form or another. Founded by members of an ancient race, Varkolak...the Vampires... it immediately took hold and thrived. Not long after, a village of humans took root nearby. The first humans to populate it were slaves of the court, set free to breed and bring in a steady supply of new blood. Eventually, others moved there, and the village was given the name 'Littlewood'. Generations passed and the villagers of Littlewood forgot of their origin.
But even so, those who have lived in the village long enough, are not foolish to think they could ever hope to escape constant fears that the court might one day decide to feast upon them all in a terrible blood-bath. So they do their best to please the aristocracy, and keep the Lukoi at bay by avoiding contact as much as possible. Garlic hangs upon every door, and a silver coin under every step.
The ruler of the court was no fool, and realized that if they did not find more allies, the villagers would inevitably revolt. And so, they befriended the Lukoi pack, in the unfortunate event that their humans should ever get...out of hand.
As time wore on, new rulers came into power. Eventually, centuries later...a cruel vampiress named Tyranny took over the court. She has reigned for quite some time. Never was there a crueller or more blood-thirsty creature. She is most beloved of her vampiric subjects.
